Visualization, Reporting and Billing
M2W is a hardware and software system for meter data aquisition and analysis.
For data aquisition, ASCE worked with a manufacturer in China to create a unique
metering product based on the same Maxim Teridian metering chip found in 65% of
the world's Smart Meters. ASCE's M2W meter supports
both single-phase and 3-phase systems.
ASCE pairs this meter hardware with elaborate meter communications systems that
use the latest embedded technology from Microsoft: .Net Micro Framework 4.0.
The M2W embedded system runs on the open-source Arduino-format ARM-processor
platform, with millions of users and vast industry support. Arduino is in
constant evolution, and is getting better every day.
ASCE uses Digi XBee 802.15.4 mesh products.
Once aquired, meter data is sent to Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 in the cloud
for persistent storage. Real-Time and Historical presentation are then a snap,
whether the objective is real-time Dashboards or historical applications such as
billing, or contributions to consumer awareness.
